Mandrel bent.
- Q: Will it bolt up to my stock CT-20 turbo, without any modification?
- A: Yes.
- Except, it will no longer take the OEM donut, instead uses a standard header gasket.
- Q: Can I use, a reusable aluminum header gasket?
- NO! Soft aluminum melts at ~1000F degrees. This locations will get to at least 1300F.
- Q: What is included?
- A: Just the pipe and gasket.
- Q: What other parts are needed?
- A: Exhaust nuts, muffler clamp...
- And of course: An, 2.5 inch, full exhaust system, including the, CAT, Muffler, etc...
- Q: Will my stock 2.0 in exhaust system fit up to it?
- A: Not without a 2.5 to 2.0 reducer (not recommended).
- This pipe is intended to let you use the factory CT-20 turbo connected to a full 2.5in exhaust system...
- Q: What will my new horsepower be?
- A: I don't know for sure, I have not dynoed it, yet? However, I really noticed a significantly, faster spool up and power increase (Down pipe and hi flow exhaust& CAT, maybe, 10-20+ HP?)...
- Q: Where dose my factory 02 sensor bolt on to now, and why do I have to pay extra for keeping it?
- A: The Turbo's OEM 90 degree outlet, has the 02 sensor, and it stay's there. The extra 02, WB-02, EGT, is for, bolt on test equipment, some people want to use to monitor the turbo's and engine's health...
- Q: Is this assembly a California approved part?
- A: I don't know. Probably not. However, It's intend as a replacement part.
- I've gone through two SMOG's checks without any problems...
- Q: Why is it expensive?
- A: When you go buy a chevy 350 headers, there made in the many thousands; More volume = less price; And is usually not made in the USA.
- My part is, hand made, one at a time, for you, Hear in the USA...
- I cost me money, to have it made for you...
- Q: Why is mandrel bent an extra charge?
- A: The none mandrel bent pipe, is squished down to approximately 2.25 inches, and is widened to about 2.65in.
- It seems to me, vary little volume is lost; And, this is an expectable compromise, considering the extra cost of mandrel pipe.
- Q: What else is different about the Mandrel bent down pipe?
- Mandrel bent is less strong, as the metal has to be a thinner gage, in order to be bent...
- I have painted with 1200F black paint to prevent rust (mandrel pipe is not aluminized).
- Q: How long will it take to make me one?
- A: Usually about a week. (not including the shipping time)...
- Q: Will it fit my 1986, 87, 88, Turbo 4x4 Truck, 4runner, moterhome, Cab and chassy, or 22RTE?
- A: Yes. It should.
- I don't know if any other, none truck applications, that were used in Toyota cars, will fit?
- A: 2wd (two-wheel-drive), with modification - not easily...
Q: Why are have the prices gone up?
